A Simply Easy Vinaigrette that will whip together in as little as 5 minutes, uses simple ingredients, and is full of tangy flavor.
This vinaigrette is so versatile, not only is it great on a bed of green lettuce, but there is so many other uses for this dressing.
Try it as a marinade, drizzle it on a fruit salad, or use it as a vegetable dip.
Would you like to make this dressing a little creamier?
Add a little vegan mayo and blend.
Ingredients for this dressing
- Vinegar – In this recipe, I used apple cider vinegar. I love the sour yet slightly sweet flavor of this vinegar. If you do not have apple cider vinegar on hand, you can use a white vinegar.
- Oil – Any oil will work, but I love using a avocado oil for all my dressings. Avocado oil has a mild flavor, that doesn’t over power with it’s flavor in any dressing.
- Mustard – I used a plain yellow mustard in my dressing. You can switch it up by adding any of the different varieties of mustard each time you make this dressing.
- Lemon Juice – I added a little lemon juice for a hint of citrus in the dressing, this adds a clean and fresh flavor.
- Real Maple Syrup – The sweetener of choice is the maple syrup. Adding a hint of a vanilla and caramel flavor along with the sweetness.
- Salt and Pepper – To taste.
Want to make the dressing creamier?
Add your favorite mayo to the dressing.
How to make A Simply Easy Vinaigrette
I find the best way to blend this dressing is to pour everything into a canning jar with a lid.
Shake vigorously until well blended.
Pour over a fresh bed of lettuce just before serving.
Storing the dressing
I store my dressing in the refrigerator.
The dressing will solidify, but that is not a problem.
Just remove the dressing from the refrigerator, and let it set for about 15 to 30 minutes before serving.
Shake and drizzle on your fresh salad.
