These Oven Roasted Green Beans are a healthy side dish that are so easy to make.

With only a few ingredients tossed on fresh green beans, they make a perfect side dish for just about any meal, anytime of year.

What I love about green beans is that you can’t under or over bake them, it is all about how you and your family would love to enjoy them.

Personally, I love them tender with a slight crispiness when baked or cooked.

In this recipe, I made these green beans in the oven but you can just wrap them into parchment paper and foil and toss them on the grill or even a campfire.

You can enjoy these green beans along side my Vegan Hobo Dinner and my Vegan Baked Beans for a perfect meatless meal.

The next day try snacking on them cold or add them to a salad!

Ingredients for the Oven Roasted Green Beans

  • Fresh Green Beans – I love fresh green beans! The best way to describe the flavor is an earthy mild green vegetable/fruit. You can enjoy them cooked, baked, or raw.
  • Onion Powder – Onion powder will add a much needed flavor of a sweet and savory onion.
  • Minced Garlic – The minced garlic adds a milder flavor than the fresh garlic and is less work to prepare. But fresh garlic cloves can also be used, with their sweet caramelized garlic flavor that can be enjoyed in it’s own little package.
  • Oil – In this recipe I used avocado oil and I also have used olive oil.
  • Salt and Pepper – Season to taste.

How to make these Oven Roasted Green Beans

Clean and dry the fresh green beans.

Preheat the oven to 425° F.

Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the green beans evenly over the baking sheet.

Sprinkle the garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the green beans.

Drizzle the oil over the green beans.

Stir everything together on the baking sheet, making sure to coat all the beans with the seasoning and oil.

Place the baking sheet into the oven to bake for about 8 minutes, stir, and rotate the baking sheet.

Bake for another 7 minutes or until the beans are soft but slightly crispy.

Remove from the oven and serve as a side dish to any meal.

  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Clean and dry the fresh green beans.
  • Preheat the oven to 425° F.

Notes
Camping?  Try these green beans wrapped in parchment paper and foil, toss on the grill or camp fire.
No need to heat these beans up the next day, enjoy them cold.  Toss them into any salad, or just snack on them.
