These Inexpensive Easy Vegan Snacks are so simple and so tasty!
You do not have to be vegan to enjoy these simple snacks, matter of fact, I have been enjoying these snacks for years before I was vegan.
What I love about these snacks are that they use simple ingredients, so simple you probably already have all the them in your fridge or panty right now.
These take little to no effort to make up when you are looking for a little something to eat.
You may find some of these snacks familiar but with a new twist.
Perhaps, you may have not thought of putting some of these foods together.
So what are some of my Inexpensive Easy Vegan Snacks?
Let’s start with Crackers
Saltines
Simply smear your favorite vegan margarine on to a saltine cracker and enjoy!
You can also try peanut butter on top of saltines.
Or why not try your favorite jam or jelly, my family loves the salty sweet taste of this treat!
Round Crackers
These are similar to the ritz or town house cracker, but I use the organic brands, a slightly buttery flavored round cracker.
So many ways to enjoy this cracker.
We all like to top these crackers with cheese, but have you ever thought of adding a bit more?
Add the vegan cheese of your choice, a slice of a bread and butter pickle and enjoy!
Need more? Add a drop of yellow mustard for an extra tangy kick.
Don’t want cheese? Just add the bread and butter pickle to the cracker with a drop of mustard. YUMMY!!
This next one is for those vegetarians; add a scoop of your favorite cottage cheese to the cracker, sprinkle your favorite spice on top and enjoy!
Dips
Can’t find a good dip for your potato chips?
Try some baked beans, that sweet and salty taste is so good!
Sliced avocados are not only great on tortilla chips but are a perfect topping for your potato chips, adding a buttery flavor to your chips.
Hummus is another wonderful snack, you can dip bread, chips, crackers and vegetables. Here is my recipe for a homemade hummus, the Red Pepper Hummus.
Popcorn
Make your own popcorn on the stove and add your own seasonings.
It is so easy to make popcorn, all you need is oil and corn kernels, heated in a medium sized sauce pan.
Once done, season and enjoy!
Try out these tasty seasoning blends, or make your own with your favorite spices.
- Salt and Dill
- Nutritional Yeast
- Salt and Pepper
- Onion, Garlic, and Salt
Stove Top Popcorn

Instructions
- In the 2.5 to 3 quart sauce pan pour enough oil to just cover the bottom of the pan.
- Drop 3 to 4 corn kernels into the oil and cover the pan.
- Turn the burner onto a medium high heat.
- Keep a close eye on the kernels, once all of them pop, pour the 1/2 cup of corn kennels into the pan and cover.
- Every few seconds shake the pan so that the kernels do not stick to the bottom.
- Once the kernels start to pop, turn down the heat to medium.
- Continue to shake the pan every few seconds until the popping slows down.
- Remove from heat and pour the popcorn into a large serving bowl.
- Pour melted butter or drizzle oil over the popcorn and season to taste.

Breads
So many varieties of breads on the market today.
But you don’t not need any special variety to enjoy these snack ideas, just use what you have available in your home.
We all know what cinnamon and sugar toast is, but if not, this is a easy treat!
Toast your bread, smear your butter or margarine on the toast and sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top and enjoy!
This next one is my favorite, brown sugar toast.
You toast your bread, smear your butter or margarine on the toast and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
One tip for these two snacks is that you want the spread to melt, so make sure to butter the toast as soon as it is toasted.
And add the sugars right away, so that they melt into the bread before enjoying.
Vegetables and Fruits
Okay I am going to take you back to preschool or kindergarten with this simple and healthy snack called Ants on a log.
If you do not remember or have not heard of this, it is a simple sweet and crunchy treat.
It is fresh cut celery, which is the log, smear peanut butter on the celery, and place raisins (the ants) on top of the peanut butter.
It’s a crunchy, simple and healthy snack!
We all know that there are simple, healthy and easy snacks such as nuts, dried fruits and vegetables that are always nice to have available.
I hope you enjoyed this post of some of my favorite Inexpensive Vegan Snacks.
