Ingredients needed for this sauce

  • Tomato Sauce and Paste – This sauce uses both the tomato sauce and paste. These sauces add color, thickness, a richer tomato flavor, and is the base of the barbecue sauce.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar – Vinegar adds that extra tang to the barbecue sauce that we all love.
  • Real Maple Syrup – Maple syrup is my sweetener of choice. It adds a smokey maple flavor with a hint of vanilla caramel.
  • Molasses – Molasses adds a bit more of a sweet smoky flavor to the sauce.
  • Mustard – I use a yellow mustard in my sauce, or you can add a mustard of your choice. The mustard adds a hint of spice with a little tang to the sauce.
  • Seasonings – The seasonings used are salt, onion powder, minced garlic and smoked paprika are added for flavor to the sauce.
