How to make Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz. Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 6 oz. Can Tomato Paste
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Real Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 Cup Molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method
 

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a medium saucepan.
  2. Cook on a medium heat, stir and bring everything to a simmer.
  3. Make sure to cover the pot, but do not place the lid on to tight, letting the steam escape.
  4. Keeping the sauce at a simmer, continue to check and stir the sauce for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. You will notice the sauce will start to thicken.
  6. After about 15 minutes, remove the sauce from the heat and leave it to cool.
  7. Once cool, pour into a quart jar, cover and place into the refrigerator.

  • As a marinade.
  • A dip for those fries.
  • Pour the sauce onto a sandwich.
  • Bast any vegetable or burger.
