A Mint Fruit Salad that is not only simple to make but also refreshing, healthy, and a compliment to any meal.

The warmer months are the best time of year to make any fruit salad, with all the fresh fruits that are available during the peak season.

Bright colors and flavors makes this fruit salad an instant crowd pleaser.

Sweet and juicy strawberries and melon mixed with tart blackberries and cooling fresh mint will make this dish irresistible on hot summer days.

Adding in the fresh mint enhances the flavors as well as compliments and balances the sweet fruit in the salad.

This salad is easily customizable with your own favorite fruits, not to mention so easy to whip together in just a few minutes!

Enjoy this salad as a main dish for breakfast, as a side dish to your barbecue, or why not enjoy it as a snack.

Ingredients for the fruit salad

  • Melons – I used cantaloupe in my salad, you can also add honeydew with the cantaloupe.
  • Fresh Mint – Any mint can be added to the salad, such as a chocolate, apple, pineapple, spearmint, peppermint, or mojito mint.
  • Berries – I used fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries in my salad.
  • Fruits – I added a can of mandarin oranges to the salad. I also used some of the mandarin juice in the dressing of the salad.
  • Lime Juice – I added a little lime juice to my salad, lemon juice can be a great substitute.
  • Real Maple Syrup – Maple syrup was my sweetener of choice.

How to make a easy Mint Fruit Salad

Clean and cut the cantaloupe (and honeydew) into bite sized pieces, and place into a large serving bowl.

Next clean, hull, and slice the strawberries into half, add to the bowl of melon.

Wash the blackberries and blueberries, add them to the bowl.

Open the mandarin oranges and drain the juice into a cup, saving for the dressing.

Clean and chop the fresh mint, add to the bowl of fruit.

Continue by adding the maple syrup, lime juice, and some of the mandarin juice to the bowl.

Toss everything together.

Place the bowl into the refrigerator for an hour or more before serving.

Stir and serve cold.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 to 1 Cantaloupe 1/2 of a cantaloupe if adding honeydew.
  • 1/2 Honeydew Optional.
  • 1 Pint Fresh Strawberries
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 1/4 Cup Blackberries
  • 1 10.7 oz. Can Mandarin Oranges
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Mint Any variety of mint can be used, use your favorite.
  • 3 Tbsp Lime Juice Can be substituted with lemon juice.
  • 2 Tbsp Real Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tbsp Juice from the Mandarin Oranges. Keep the rest for another recipe.

Method
