This sweet and flavorful Maple Cinnamon Glaze is a wonderful addition to just about any dessert!
A simply easy glaze to drizzle on any dessert, such as, doughnuts, cakes, or even cookies.
You will be able to find most, if not all of the ingredients in your kitchen for this 7 ingredient simple glaze.
One of the ingredients I like to use often in this glaze is brewed coffee.
I believe the coffee brings out the maple syrup more, adding a stronger maple flavor to the frosting.
But if you prefer not to add coffee, it can be replaced with your favorite brewed tea or you can add more of the plant based milk.
Ingredients for the glaze
- Real Maple Syrup – I only use real maple syrup in all my recipes. I love the slight notes of the smokey caramel and vanilla flavor in this sweetener of choice.
- Plant Based Milk – I used an unsweetened vanilla almond milk in this recipe. Use your favorite plant based milk.
- Brewed Coffee – Substitute with a brewed tea or add more of the plant based milk.
- Powdered Sugar – The powdered sugar helps to thicken and add more sweetness to the glaze.
- Pure Vanilla Extract – Vanilla extract enhances the taste of the other ingredients adding depth to the glaze.
- Salt – Salt enhances the other ingredients in the glaze.
- Ground Cinnamon – The cinnamon compliments the maple flavor, adding a warmth with a woody flavor to the glaze.
How to make a Maple Syrup Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients.
Stir until there are no lumps.
Drizzle the glaze over the dessert of choice.
Make sure to use the glaze right away, it does harden over a few minutes.
