Vegan Holiday Nog

Vegan Holiday Nog

Last Updated on June 29, 2024

This Vegan Holiday Nog is so easy to make and a perfect alternative to the traditional eggnog.

There is something comforting about the perfectly spiced and creamy texture of classic eggnog.

And because eggnog is a must have beverage for the holiday season (well at least in my home), I had to veganize my favorite beverage.

Oh sure, you can buy the pre-made vegan eggnog, but why would you when it is so easy to make at home!

Not to mention that you can customize with you and your family’s favorite spices.

Oh and the taste is much better than the store bought anyway.

And because so many of us are sensitive to eggs, dairy, certain spices and gluten, I decided to create an alternative to the traditional eggnog.

Ingredients needed for the nog

  • Milk – In this recipe I used an unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Choose your favorite non-dairy milk.
  • Dates – The dates add to the color and add a little sweetness to the nog.
  • Real Maple Syrup – The maple syrup adds a caramel and vanilla flavor with an extra sweetness to the nog.
  • Spices – The warming spices added to a nog can be altered, that is the greatest advantage to making a homemade nog. In this recipe I used salt, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg.
  • Extracts – I added two different pure extracts to my nog, vanilla and almond. I like how both of these extracts blend to give the nog a better taste than just adding the vanilla extract.
