Tea Popsicles are a low sugar alternative to the pre-made popsicle you buy in the store.

These cool treats are filled with fresh fruits, berries, and fresh brewed teas.

It is so easy to make up a few different varieties of these popsicle treats, each one can be filled with a different tea and fruit.

In this recipe I will share with you a couple different popsicles I made, and with some alternatives that would work well in these cool treats.

Tea Popsicles

Peach, OJ, Kiwi Green Tea Popsicles

Ingredients

  • Green Tea – I used a peach flavored green tea in this popsicle, I thought it would pair well with the kiwi and orange juice. I have also experimented with herbal teas, one I have tried was a lemon ginger tea. Play around with the different varieties of green teas or herbal teas, just make sure that it compliments the orange juice and kiwi.
  • Orange Juice – I used an unsweetened, not from concentrate, orange juice for these popsicles. A blended juice is a great alternative as well, the one I liked was a orange mango juice. There are a lot of varieties of juices that will work well with the kiwi, experiment.
  • Kiwi – I thought the kiwi was a perfect addition to the popsicles with it’s bright green color and it’s tart, slightly sweet flavor that holds up well when frozen in the popsicles.

How to make this popsicle

Boil the water to the correct temperature for the tea.

Pour the boiling water into a cup and add the tea bag and steep as recommended for the tea.

Once the tea is done, leave it to cool on the counter or place it into the refrigerator until cool enough to pour into plastic molds.

Peel the kiwi and slice into thin slices, set aside.

Pour the cooled tea, between 1/4 to 1/2 full, into the popsicle mold, add a couple slices of the kiwi. top off with the juice.

Place the popsicles into the freezer overnight or for about 6 hours.

These popsicles are now ready for any time you need to cool down on a hot summer day!

  • Strawberries – This can be fresh or frozen strawberries for this treat.
  • Blueberries – Fresh blueberries work the best for this cool treat.
  • Tea – I used a kombucha tea for this recipe, but if you can not find this, any green or white tea will work just as well.
