Method
- Clean and slice the mushrooms and onions.
- Add oil, mushrooms, and onions to a medium sized fry pan and saute for about 7 minutes or until the they caramelize and slightly brown.
- In a small bowl, add the water, tomato paste, maple syrup, all the spices, and mix well.
- Next add the small bowl of ingredients to the fry pan with the mushrooms, stir while cooking for about another 7 minutes.
- Once the mushrooms are done add to what ever you would normally add pepperoni too.

- Fill a calzone.
- Add these to your favorite sandwich.
- Use as a topping for a vegan pizza.
- Or add to a hotdish.
