Vegan Baked Cabbage

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Small head Cabbage
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Flour
  • 3 Cup Milk Alternative I used Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Vegan Margarine for greasing the baking dish.

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 13x9 baking dish and set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Shred the head of cabbage and spread it into the baking dish.
  • Evenly Salt and pepper the shredded cabbage.
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix together the milk, sugar, flour, and onion powder.
  • Pour the mixture over the shredded cabbage.
  • Drizzle oil over the cabbage.
  • Cover the dish with foil.
  • Bake for about a half hour, then stir the cabbage.
  • Recover and bake for another half hour.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes to crisp or slightly brown the top.
  • NOTE: Watch this closely, once you remove the foil the cabbage can burn.

Great ways to serve this Vegan Baked Cabbage, as a side dish, or with pasta and a vegan sausage.
