This Creamy Vegan Alfredo Sauce is so easy to make and will compliment any dish you add it too.
It is a dairy free and gluten free sauce made with raw cashews.
This sauce has a rich cheesy flavor and a creamy texture, and you get this all without any cheese!
I made this creamy sauce for our favorite pasta, but you can use this flavorful sauce on anything you want!
Why not dollop the top of your baked potato with this creamy sauce and garnish with fresh cut chives or maybe a little dried dill over the top.
Another use for this easy sauce would be to replace your marinara sauce to make a Homemade Alfredo Pizza.
Or why not drizzle the sauce over your favorite steamed vegetables. It’s really good on broccoli!
So you see, there really is no limit on how to use or what to add this creamy vegan alfredo sauce too.
It will soon become your favorite staple in your kitchen as it now is mine!
Ingredients for a Creamy Vegan Alfredo Sauce
- Raw Cashews – Very widely used in a lot of vegan recipes today, because of it’s mild flavor and creamy texture. Cashews work wonderfully as a replacement for dairy in so many different ways.
- Vegetable Broth – Look for a reduced sodium broth or make your own.
- Water – A key ingredient to thin out this sauce so that it can be spread easily over what ever you decide to add it too.
- Seasonings – Onion powder, minced garlic, salt and pepper for flavor.
- Lemon Juice – I add lemon juice to this recipe to help thicken the sauce but also to give the sauce a little something extra. You will not taste the lemon, but I really don’t know how to explain it. I guess I think it brings out the flavor more.
- Cornstarch – This helps thicken the sauce.
- Oil – In this recipe I used Avocado oil, but any oil will work just as well. The oil will give the sauce a velvety texture.
