This Peach Salsa is a quick and easy appetizer, condiment, or even a side dish.
The sweet and tangy flavor of the peaches, the mild buttery flavor of the avocado, and the bright freshness of the cilantro make for refreshing and unique salsa.
Do different varieties of peaches add a unique flavor to the salsa?
Yes! There are many different varieties of peaches.
The options depend on what is available in your area.
I have only been able to find the white and yellow peach in my area.
You will notice that the white peach is a mellow and sweet flavor.
But the yellow peaches have a true peach taste that is sweet and tangy.
You can also use nectarines in this salsa.
Even though these are not technically a peach they are very similar in flavor profiles, but do not have the fuzzy skin.
What pairs well with a peach salsa?
Try adding the salsa to a main dish, such as burgers, tacos or burritos, pasta salads, or add it to your grilled cheese.
Or enjoy it as an appetizer, such as with tortilla chips, crackers, or on top of your nachos.
But one of my favorite ways to enjoy this salsa is to add it as a side dish.

Ingredients needed for the salsa
- Peaches – I used ripe yellow peaches. Use any variety of peaches you prefer and that are available to you.
- Tomatoes – I used roma tomatoes in my salsa because of the texture and they are less watery. You can also use a grape sized tomato.
- Peppers – I like to use a sweet yellow, red, or orange pepper in this salsa. If you want heat, add any of your favorite hot spicy peppers.
- Avocados – Fresh and ripe avocados are added to the salsa.
- Cilantro – I recommend using fresh cilantro in this salsa. Cilantro adds a fresh, bright, citrus as well as a slightly peppery flavor.
- Onions – I used a onion powder in my salsa, because that is what I had on hand. I do recommend using a fresh green onions, scallions, or a sweet onion in the salsa.
Dressing for the salsa
- Vinegar – I used a balsamic vinegar. I love the complex taste of this vinegar, with it’s fruity sweetness, tartness, and the hint of smokey flavor, making this vinegar a perfect pairing for the salsa.
- Oil – I like to use avocado oil in the dressing because of the mild yet buttery flavor.
- Lemon Juice – Adding a slightly sweeter citrus flavor to the dressing.
- Lime Juice – Adding a slight bitter citrus flavor to the dressing.
- Salt and Pepper – To taste.
