Vegan Peanut Butter Bread

This simply easy and tasty Vegan Peanut Butter Bread is a vegan version of the Great Depression Peanut Butter Bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups All Purpose White Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/3 Cup Plant Based Milk I used a unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Use your favorite plant based milk.
  • 1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Equipment

  • 1 9x5 glass loaf pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Grease a 9x5 inch glass loaf pan, set aside.
  3. In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, baking powder, brown sugar, milk, and peanut butter.
  4. Mix everything together until well combined.
  5. Spread the dough into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Slide the loaf into the oven and bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean.
  7. Once done, remove the bread from the oven.
  8. Cool the loaf in the pan.
  9. Once the loaf is cooled to the touch , slide a knife around the sides before turning the pan over to remove the loaf.
  10. After the loaf has been removed from the pan, place the loaf on a cooling rack to completely cool.
  11. Drizzle the Maple Cinnamon Glaze over the top of the loaf before slicing.
  12. Don't want a glaze on the bread?
  13. Slice and smear with a vegan margarine, more creamy peanut butter, or your favorite fruit spread.
