- 1 Very Ripe Banana
- 2 tsp Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tbsp Nut Butter I have used almond or peanut butter. Use your favorite nut butter.
- 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 tsp Ground Cinnamon Optional.
- 1 1/2 Cup Plant Based Milk I used a unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Use your favorite plant based milk.
- Stevia or Real Maple Syrup I used a couple of drops of a liquid stevia. Maple syrup would be a good alternative. This is optional. Add to your taste.
You will need to use a frozen banana for this recipe.
So if you don't have a banana frozen in the freezer, you will need to place one in the day before making this treat.
Make sure to peel and chop up or break apart the banana into about 1 inch pieces before freezing.
In a high speed blender, add the frozen banana, cocoa powder, nut butter, cinnamon, plant based milk, and vanilla.
If adding a sweetener, add this now.
Blend everything until smooth, just like a smoothie.
Pour into a cup, and if you like, add a whipped topping with a wedge of chocolate.
Enjoy!
