Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3/4 Cup Oil I used avocado oil.
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Cup Warm Water
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Frosting
  • 1/2 Cup Vegan Margarine
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 lb. Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup Plant Based Milk I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
  • 1 tsp Espresso Powder

Equipment

  • 1 Free-standing mixer or hand mixer

Method
 

How to make the cake.
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add all the cake ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Pour into a 13 x 9 glass baking dish.
  4. Place into the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Check by lightly pushing on the top, it should bounce back.
  6. Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and let the cake completely cool before frosting.
How to make the frosting.
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and blend with a hand or free standing mixer until creamy.
  2. Spread the frosting on the cake, cut and enjoy!
