1/3CupOrange Juice
1TbspLemon Juice
3TbspBrown SugarOptional or lower the amount.
1/3CupReal Maple Syrup
1/4CupWater
1PinchGround Clove
1PinchGround Cardamom
1Pinch Salt
1/4tspGround Ginger
2tspGround Cinnamon
1tspPure Vanilla
Instructions
Clean, peel, remove the core, dice the pears and apples, then add them to the slow cooker.
Add all the remaining ingredients and cook on high for about 5 to 6 hours, or until the apples are soft.
After the apples and pears are soft, blend with a hand immersion blender until smooth.
Turn the slow cooker down to medium and cook for about 1 to 2 hours or until the butter is to your desired consistency.
Once the butter is to the thickness you like, turn off the slow cooker and leave the butter to cool until you can handle the crock.
Ladle the butter into canning jars for storing, leaving these out to continue to cool before storing in the refrigerator until ready to use.
