Old Fashioned Raw Apple Cake

The warming spice of cinnamon baked with fresh apples in a sweet and delicious cake can be served with a homemade whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 5 Cups Fresh Raw Apples Chopped
  • 4 Tbsp Hot Water

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 13x9 glass baking dish and set aside.
  3. Clean and dice the apples.
  4. Add and blend together the butter, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, and hot water.
  5. Slowly add and blend in the flour.
  6. After the flour is well combined, fold in the raw diced apples.
  7. Pour and spread the batter evenly into the glass baking dish.
  8. Place into the oven and bake for 45 to 60 minute, checking at 45 minutes.
  9. Check the cake by inserting a tooth pick in the center, if it comes out clean the cake is done, if not continue baking.
  10. Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and let it cool for 15 to 30 minutes, cut and serve warm.
  11. Serve this Old Fashioned Raw Apple Cake with a homemade whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
