The warming spice of cinnamon baked with fresh apples in a sweet and delicious cake can be served with a homemade whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 5 Cups Fresh Raw Apples Chopped
  • 4 Tbsp Hot Water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 13x9 glass baking dish and set aside.
  • Clean and dice the apples.
  • Add and blend together the butter, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, and hot water.
  • Slowly add and blend in the flour.
  • After the flour is well combined, fold in the raw diced apples.
  • Pour and spread the batter evenly into the glass baking dish.
  • Place into the oven and bake for 45 to 60 minute, checking at 45 minutes.
  • Check the cake by inserting a tooth pick in the center, if it comes out clean the cake is done, if not continue baking.
  • Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and let it cool for 15 to 30 minutes, cut and serve warm.
  • Serve this Old Fashioned Raw Apple Cake with a homemade whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
