This Cherry Ginger Tea is a wonderful heart healthy beverage that can be enjoyed in the morning or even at night.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tea Bag Your choice of tea.
  • 1/2 Inch Fresh Ginger
  • 1/3 Cup Tart Cherry Juice
  • 1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon

Garnish - Optional

  • Sliced Apple
  • Sliced Citrus
  • Leaves of a fresh herb of your choice.
  • Fresh Berries of your choice

Instructions
 

  • Peel a piece of fresh ginger and cut into small pieces, place into a small sauce pan.
  • Pour in the cherry juice, water, and bring everything to a simmer.
  • Once the cherry juice is at a simmer, remove and discard (or eat) the ginger, and add a tea of your choice.
  • Cover and steep, steep to the package directions.
  • Remove the tea bag and slowly pour the cherry juice into a mug.
  • Garnish the drink with fresh herbs, sliced apple, berries, or a slice of citrus fruit.
  • Enjoy.
